If you know more about cars than just owning one, you'll know this is "The Shop" the minute you walk through the door. Absolute aces. I purchased an e39 M5 which had, let's say, some issues. It drove fine but it just wasn't "right" - it had been modified by previous owners, but it was clear it had never been sorted. Eventually it became clear that they'd paid for mods but not for a LOT of maintenance. Avus was referred to me by a friend who has them maintain his M5 (it's the most beautifully-prepped M5 I've ever seen). It took awhile, but what I got back was 3x the car I dropped off with them. Absolutely mind-blowing. I tracked it literally the day after picking it up and it was astounding how dialed-in it was. I cannot recommend Avus highly enough. It's one thing to have a lot of work done - it's another to have it done completely, 100% "sorted" the very first time. No other shop is going to touch my car in the future. I seriously have a "new" 25-year-old car now. And it's the absolute bomb. I'm thrilled it's my car, and I didn't have that feeling before the guys at Avus did their magic. If you're a car guy who's turned a wrench, you'll also know it's not magic - it's massive doses of skill and experience. Everyone at Avus - Sandro, Andrew, Ken, Reuben - are super knowledgeable and intelligent in their approach to your car. The level to which they "inspire confidence" is worth going out of your way for. These aren't mere mechanics, they're technicians looking at everything. They'll tell you everything, but they'll also break it down into what you need "now," "soon," and "when convenient." Do yourself a favor, and find out for yourself!

My convertible top was not working so I took my car to Santa Monica BMW for a diag. Santa Monica BMW tried to charge me 10k to fix the roof and I knew something was wrong so I took my car to Avus Autosport, they were able to fix a hydronic line in my roof and tension cable for less than 2500$. The owner was so honest and kind and did great work. Taking my car to Avus saved me 7500$!! So now I have more money for my next fun car. It’s hard to find an honest mechanic now adays but Avus delivered and didn’t try to up charge me or sell me services I didn’t need. I highly recommend Avus if you have a European car, it’s clear the owner is an enthusiast himself and treats customers like family. Great service! And the best part is that they use OEM BMW parts so they come with a 2 year warranty, I trust Avus to get the job done right for a fair price.
