My warranty on my bmw e92 m3 expired recently, so I have been looking for a local shop to service my car. I decided to take the car to Avus from a friend's recommendation, and I couldn't be happier! Andrew and Amir are outstanding guys, Amir also has a lot of track experience, which was extremely helpful for the work that I have done to the car. I have to say their prices are a bit expensive, but I believe the premium you pay shows in the quality of their work. They also make an effort to tell you pre-existing conditions of the car, and they fixed a few issues at no additional cost to me. I will continue to keep bringing my car here until I sell it! great job guys!

Everyone there is very friendly. This is a quick review as I just stopped by for a pre-purchase inspection. They were thorough and with good attention to detail.

I brought my 2006 x3 BMW to Avus Autosport in Glendale after having read so many wonderful reviews on Yelp. I was absolutely pleased with the service and thank all of the yelpers before me for recommending this place! I called ahead of time to schedule an immediate appointment to deal with my check engine light problem and was told I could come in that very same hour! Other BMW shops expected me to wait until later in the week for even a simple diagnosis. I wanted immediate service and the mechanics at Avus did everything they could to get me back on the road quickly but safely! The shop itself is extremely easy to find and very well kept. I recommend you watch the video on this page provided by Avus since the shop looks exactly as advertised; clean and well-organized. Unlike most shops, Avus stores a majority of their parts on the site to avoid unnecessary shipping delays etc. It was great not having to wait for them to special order any odd parts since they had everything they needed ready to go. This is a major plus! Amir at the front desk was very polite, considerate, and caring. I had a chance to meet Andrew, the owner of Avus, and Ruben, the Master Technician. They all took the time to show me the parts that needed replacement and provided explanations. I was able to see for myself what was damaged or worn out. They were all so obviously passionate and knowledgeable about BMWs! Most importantly, they worked together to provide me with impressive discounts of up to $200 as a first time customer. This made the cost of all the repairs and labor costs more affordable and within reach. Andrew, Amir, and Ruben do whatever they can to please their customers and gain their respect! Over all, I highly recommend visiting Avus if you are looking for a reliable, friendly, clean and affordable BMW service shop. Keep up the great service, guys!

This place is great - the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, they specialize in BMW's, they got my service done quickly AND gave me a great deal. I'm not a crazy car person so it's tough for me to find a mechanic that I feel comfortable with and that I trust. Everyone seemed very upfront and honest so I'll definitely be going back.

I have been taking my 2003 325xi to Avus for almost 7 years. I can't say enough good things about them. They have always treated me fairly and have kept my car in tip top shape. I am very impressed with their professionalism and service. I have friends that have the same vehicle and their cars have seen better days. My car is still running strong. They always explain everything to me and were very nice to my fianc when he called them to talk about my car. I believe that when you find something or someone good in life you should stick with them. That's why I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. They have great mechanics (Ruben rocks!) and always are able to fit me in. Their prices are very fair and their work is excellent. I honestly say that I trust these guys and am thankful to them for keeping my car in such good shape!

I came across Avus here on Yelp. I read great reviews, and have been on the lookout for a good BMW dealer in LA for a while. So I gave it a shot. What prompted my visit? The dreaded "Service Engine Soon" light came on. Which could mean anything from "replace a cap" to "replace the engine". But the other thing that prompted my visit was a nightmarish visit to another mechanic a few weeks ago. That mechanic took a look at my car (a 2005 Red BMW bought in New York) and a few hours later called me with a deep, somber voice. "Your car has a lot of problems. A lot of problems". He listed four or five problems involving arms, pumps and pulleys, and said that these things would have to be taken care of immediately. I asked him how much it would cost. He said three thousand dollars. I almost fell off my chair.Thankfully I didn't take the bait and he didn't touch my lil red car. But the mystery remained: was my car, bought in August, a total piece of crap? Did I get duped by the NY firefighter who sold it to me?Enter Avus. I took the car over and was immediately impressed by how clean and classy the shop is. There are nice cars parked around, a couple of mechanics working away, and very little stress in the air. Everybody there was very helpful and took the time to explain things to me. This is in spite of my allegiance to Ferrari's Formula One team. Very often mechanics will use their knowledge of technical lingo to make the customer feel ill-at-ease. We feel bad if we don't understand something, and want them to feel that we trust them. So we don't ask. And they take advantage of that. But here, there was a genuine sense of respect. It's the kind of place that prefers familiar faces to a revolving door of one-off disgruntled customers. Cars are important, especially here in LA, and finding a good mechanic is like finding a good priest, or a good rabbi. We'll all need one eventually.

If you're a CG (Car Guy) like me, you know that thing that some dudes say when you try to talk about cars: 'I'm not a Car Guy.'To me, hearing this is sort of like saying 'I'm not into boxer briefs, I kinda like ruffled panties' or 'ooh, a hammer? too complicated, let me call my handyman.'I mean, there are guys, and there are CGs. Having owned a BMW e36 M3 for 8 years, a BMW e90 M3 (competition package, bitches) for 3 months, I am surely a CG. Before that it was a Mustang 5.0 (Vanilla Ice CG), a Jeep CJ7 (Beachy CG) and several early 80s VW's (all CG'd out). And when I was a kid, my best friend's Dad owned several 1960s Jaguar race cars that we would borrow and rip around in. At age 14. Yeah, CG.Let me be completely clear. I have tried, on several occasions, to buy a Non-CG car. It didn't work. I thought a Honda Accord would be smart. My Dad would not let it go and I wound up with an M3. I even drove a Fiat 500 for a month. And kind of liked it. But then I thought about getting hit (god forbid) and promptly got another Bimmer. And can you really snarl around the Fletcher onramp to the 2 in a car with a motorcycle engine? Nah.So yeah, CG por vida, wether I like it or not.Anyway, Avus. I'm not even a customer. I just visited the shop as a guest and was BLOWN away. Why?Because it is classy and immaculate, because they clearly LIVE for automobiles, because they are trusted with cars worth hundreds and thousands of dollars by people who could go anywhere they want. I overheard some conversations that I KNOW they must have every day, yet they still have them with the same passion as if it was the first time it came up. 'Would you buy a 540 stick for your wife? Hells yes.'You should see the precision with which they move cars around the shop. I've never seen anything like it in my life. A choreographed dance of German Steel, all done effortlessly yet with absolute precision. A dropped Ferrari motor over there, an m3 getting a Dinan Stroker motor over there, e46 with a BBK...this place is nuts!I'll be honest. After having a borderline exotic for close to 10 years, I'm not planning on EVER paying another repair bill. But if I was...I'd probably hit Avus. And it's across from Mini Kebab and they cook their employees steaks at lunch. Need I say more?

I think my previous review is under the filtered side, which considering I have other reviews on Yelp, I don't quite understand. In any event, I love this place. I hate dealing with car stuff, but they make it easy. The owner, Andrew, takes a lot of pride in giving GREAT service. I know I will get a fair price and honest opinions here. Today they didn't charge me for putting in a lost grille, and even though I hadn't warned them, they also managed to fix another problem for me (a button that was not working). I can't recommend them highly enough. If this does get to the main page, please look at filtered reviews if you want more information and judge for yourself. I do not know anyone at Avus personally, I am just a customer who is very, very happy honest people like this are in business.

I'm just now out of warranty on my 2007 BMW X3. I was not excited about experiencing BMW's customer service & pricing. Thank goodness I found Avus. They are professional, have honest transparent business practices (I even watched the tech work for a bit), and their pricing is fair. I will be back and I recommend highly!
