These guys provide an outstanding service experience. On the recommendation of Dinan Motorsports I took 3 cars there in quick succession, our 2 1997 M3s and a 2003 Mini Cooper. The work on each car was done on or ahead of schedule, and with meticulous attention to what was needed. I have complete confidence in their ability to be there when I need them, and to do what is needed to keep the cars in perfect running condition.

I never thought a repair shop could do a better job than a dealership but Avus proved me wrong. After the dealer completely botched the repairs to 2005 Mini Cooper I took it to Andrew and his team. They got it to run better than it did when I first bought it. Not only that, but they went to bat for me with my insurance company and got them to cover the repairs my car needed!! After this my car ran great for a month and my transmission went out. When they found out it was due to the shoddy work the dealership had originally done to my car, they went back to the insurance company AGAIN and got them to cover the new transmission!! I owe Andrew and everybody at Avus a beer!! Thanks again.

I just want to let everyone know that Avus is the best in providing service and excellent work. Andrew and the team are trustworthy and provide the best to the customers. I had my first experience with them last week and am definitely going for any other service which my BMW may have.

If your BMW needs upgrades or fixing don't bother looking beyond Avus. Avus provides great customer service and outstanding workmanship. They truly take pride in their work regardless how small or large the job. Andrew and Reuben took care of our car like its their own. Our family has 3 BMWs and they are all serviced by Avus. I would not even think about taking it to BMW dealership. Our third BMW was a recent purchase and Avus was a major determining factor in purchasing another Bimmer. On behalf of my entire family, thank you to all the staff at AVUS for the great service.

After moving to LA I tried a couple independents with less than stellar results, I come from clear across town so its particularly frustrating when things aren’t addressed to my satisfaction: Picking the car up from Avus today was such a pleasure, although it wasn’t cheap, it was right, oh so right…My M5 feels sublime; Ruben obviously went after all the little things that needed attention; there is no hesitation, stumbling or any of the other slight faults that, when combined, made the car feel a bit tired and quirky. I finally have a mechanic…

I have been taking my Z8 to Avus for several years. The service is always courteous, professional and efficient. I am very impressed by their knowledge, particularly of this very rare vehicle. Mostly though, it's their attention to detail that really knocks my socks off. Everything is done right the first time. Doing good repair work is not brain surgery, but these guys come as close to treating it that way as anyone I've seen.

the most professional shop ive ever been too, from the service advisor, master mechanics to management. when my car is having service done, i know i dont have to worry about anything. they totally know what they are doing. and, just one special touch (of several they do routinely) they actually know how to properly wash a clearcoat finish by hand - amazing! my car feels like new on pick-up.

I’ve owned BMW’s for over 33 years and been a BMWACC member for 32 yrs. I currently have a 2001 E39 6-spd. Dinan 5 and a 2003 E39 530 and have been relying on AVUS since 2004. These guys, Andrew, Ruben, Lief....all of the them... really know what they’re doing and really care about their customers and their BMW’s.
They provide expert service, great prices and, most importantly, they’re forthright and honest. They know the difference between what’s needed and what’s not and will give you the very best advice on how to service your BMW. And this advice will be based on the actual needs of your car and the way you drive it.
Recently, my wife’s very low mileage 530 needed a routine oil service and we took it to a nearby BMW dealer out of convenience. They came back with a list of other problems and recommended service....replacement of all coolant hoses, water pump and valve cover gaskets @ an estimated cost of $2,100. We declined and took the 530 to AVUS for a second opinion. Hoses were fine. No water pump leak. There was a very slight valve cover leak which AVUS fixed at a substantially lower cost than the dealer.

I am extremely impressed in your work ethics, the way your run the shop (how clean and organized!), and the sheer talent in Ruben. Never in my life have I seen an engineer so thoroughly skilled as Ruben. Great job guys, you won a customer for life (I will always own a BMW).

Extraordinary BMW service !!!
Andrew has come through again with fabulous and prompt service.
Avus just installed the DINAN Stage 2 software on my 08 335I. It's a day and night difference on performance and acceleration. The car has been transformed into a monster.
I've been going to Avus since 2004 and they never failed to take care of me. Solid work, excellent knowledge and courteous, friendly service. Ruben is just a wealth of knowledge who has a passion for BMWs. The whole crew is just full of knowledge and passion on servicing what they do best, BMWs and MINIs.
I've been to a lot of BMW performance shops, but there is no match with Avus Autosport who sets the standard in today's BMW service. Additionally, if you're a BMW enthusiast, they have an array of options for performance products. And I'm talking about the high-end quality performance products which are backed by warranty, not the mickey-mouse tuner products. Their products have been extensively developed and tested on today's high-performance vehicles and will not void the BMW warranty.
Avus Autosport is truly a professional and genuine customer care auto shop.

I had my car serviced at Avus this week. Very professional staff and excellent customer service. My car recently came out of warranty so this is the first time having my car serviced outside of the dealership. I love driving my car, but I do not enjoy taking it for service and I am not one to enjoy "car-talk"; however, Avus made getting my car serviced easy and pleasant. I will not be going back to the dealership. Thanks!

I first went to AVUS to service my 840ci, as I was told that they were experts in the beloved 8-series. They were and I got excellent and honest service from Andrew and the gang for nearly a decade. But they also do meticulous work on all BMW's and other premium cars. I've now brought my 750 to them and couldn't be happier. Thanks, guys.

Everytime i leave there shop i feel confident i just recieved the best service you can find anywhere in Southern California. After my first visit into there shop i knew i would never go anywhere else. There shop is always super clean, and all you see is beautiful cars.

I cannot overstate how impressed I am with the level of professionalism and the quality of work provided by Ruben, Andrew, Jonathan and the crew at Avus. From the moment I first contacted Jonathan to have an inspection made of my newly-purchased 2001 M Roadster, I knew that my car was in the hands of professionals who really care about BMWs.
It's not often that you meet people who obviously love what they do, but a five-minute talk with Ruben lets you know that such people still do exist. His inspection prompted me to have enough key preventative maintenance done that my Roadster now works as well as though it were new. Both Jonathan and Ruben insisted that I create my own list of small, detailed items that I want to handle over time; getting to finish the "to do" list won’t be a hassle or a headache, because I know that Avus will do everything right, the first time.
When I came to the shop to pick up my car, the pride Ruben, Andrew, and Jonathan had in the completed work was evident; however, they repeatedly assured me that they would not be satisfied in their efforts until I was. They needn't have been concerned: my car is, in many ways, better than new - and they made it happen.
I'm happy to have found Avus (thanks to their ad in the BMW CCA/L.A. Chapter's magazine, "Whispering Bomb") and because of their high quality standards, am certain to be a long-time customer. Thanks, everyone – driving my M Roadster is pure joy!

I'm new to the area and when my 2001 325i recently broke down a friend recommended Avus. I spoke with Jonathan on the phone and they were able to take my car right away. I got to the shop and had a great conversation with Andrew. He made me feel very welcome and they arranged for Enterprise to set me up with a rental car at a great discount. The next morning my fuel pump was replaced and my car was looking spiffy! They even replaced a worn out emblem at no charge! It's always a pain when your car breaks down... Especially after having surgery and tons of medical bills. Andrew saved me money, they did a fantastic job and it was truly a pleasure. As long as I own a BMW, Avus is my shop.

Ladies, we all know we look fabulous cruising our bimmers, but when it comes to what's under the hood we're a little confused. Well, that's where Avus Autosport comes into play. I initially took my 2003 325i into Center West BMW for an inspection. I then took BMW's repair sugesstions to Avus Autosport for a second opinion. Andrew and his team located repairs, such has hoses, that the BMW dealer didn't catch. The customer service professional is impeccable. They took the time to explain the repairs needed and the functionality of the parts. It's no suprise that my 325i runs better than it did when I drove it off the BMW dealer lot. Andrew, Jonathan, Lou, and the crew...You're the BEST! Thank you so much!

I took my car to Avus last week and I was very pleased with the work that Andrew and his team performed on my BMW. They performed an inspection on the car and found some problems that I didn't know about. The car is running smooth now. Will continue to take the car to Andrew for future services.

I have been taking my '95 M3 to Avus since 2003, and with maintenance plus upgrades, they have made it better than new, a thrill to drive every day. Avus has the expertise to know which mods and upgrades work and how to do it right. It has been a gradual process, with maintenance being opportunity to upgrade, yielding constant improvement to the car. Or you could do it all at once! It is a car worthy of performing as new, and Avus does this for me. Andrew and Ruben will advise your best options. And they have always backed their work 100%.

I\'ve been taking my 323ic to Avus since they opened. Though my initial visit was pure luck (I think I was their 3rd customer), it has proven better than winning the lotto for me. I drive the car hard (looks beautiful though), but the relationship I maintain with Avus allows me to drive with confidence. Because of Andrew, Ruben, and the rest of the crew there, I have the best running and maintained car of its type in Southern California.

There is really no other place in LA county to get your beloved BMW serviced. These guys offer something I have yet to see elsewhere: Pride in their work. They have honest, up-front pricing and have never failed to live up to everything they have promised. Avus Autosport, Andrew and his AWESOME TEAM! I cannot thank-you all enough for the OUTSTANDING Meticulous extraordinary service you performed on my 550i with (DINAN upgrades) and X5. You are the best of the best! I still have another 3 year free Maintenance with BMW dealer, i just cant bring myself to taking my cars anywhere but AVUS now.
Its so refreshing to be dealt with in an honest open way.
Im making my husband trade his Mercedes in for a BMW just so we can enjoy the AVUS experience on regular basis. I Cant wait for my next service! Hopefully more DINAN upgrades!

I recently (May 2009), got the Dinan Stage 2 Software for my E90. The service, professionalism, and availability (not because they are not busy, but because he came in on the weekend!), was something I have never seen before from a performance shop as Avus. At this point, there is no other place I\'d go get my work done on my E90.

I\'m a service tech. but I specialize in GM vehicles. When my 89-year old Dad couldn\'t sell his BMW 850i in Wyoming, he gave me the car to sell in California. I quickly I found it wouldn\'t pass the CA smog check. Lacking BMW experience, service data and special tools, I looked for an independant BMW service shop for help. The first one I tried ended-up unable to repair the car.
A friend, who also owns an 850i, referred me to Ruben at Avus Autosport. It took a while and a fair amount of money, but Ruben Villagrasa and Andrew Kahn at Avus were able to properly diagnose and repair the 850 such that it passed the California enhanced smog check by a substantial margin. Additionally, the car\'s engine runs better and even gets slightly better fuel mileage. The price for their work was fair and the quality of their work was commensurate with that price.
If you have a BMW, of any vintage, take it from a another automotive service technician, these guys know what they are doing when it comes to engine controls and electrical system diagnostics.
While I\'ve got my Dad\'s car for sale, if I was to become an BMW owner, I\'d forgo the BMW dealer network\'s \"free\" scheduled maintenance and have my car serviced by Avus, in-spite of the extra cost.

I had some Dinan mods done this past weekend at Avus Autosport and all I can say is \"Wow!\" They have the cleanest shop I have ever seen. Andrew and Dave were a pleasure to work with and they were both EXTREMELY accommodating to my needs and babied my car more so than I (if that\'s possible). They were responsive and knowledgeable throughout the whole process and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Avus Autosport to any BMW owners. I will definitely be a repeat customer this year and probably in many years to come.

I just wanted to drop you a line to know how happy I am with the engine rebuild you did on my 635 CSi. Now that it is past the break in period, the performance difference is night and day! You guys did a great job: the work you did was cleanly installed and with an attention to detail that few shops if any can rival. However it was more important to me by far to find a shop that strives to do business in a trustworthy and ethical manner. No other shop in the area went so far out of their way to show me that the large sum of money being spent was not being wasted, or let the techs explain to me what was wrong and how it was being fixed. You have my repeat business with no reservation.

I have been improving BMW's continuously since 1969 ('68 1602, '72 2002tii, 533i, '91 M5, '98 M3, '03 M3), and Avus is the most sophisticated shop I have ever found. After much attention from them, my current M3 is the car I thought I was buying & great midrange, great top end, no exhaust rasp, minimal understeer, scary lateral acceleration, no radical departures from stock. And, they are honest, prompt, and nice. I can't imagine a better place to better your BMW.
